Wondering where to place your money in 2025? Look to the experts for guidance on the best investments to consider this year. A new year brings fresh chances to invest wisely in ourselves and the companies we support. So, what are the top investment opportunities for 2025? We reached out to some of the most knowledgeable female investors to find out their strategies.

Karen Finerman, CEO of Metropolitan Capital and CNBC Fast Money Panelist

“As a long-term investor, I constantly evaluate my portfolio, especially at the start of a new year,” she shares. “With inflation on the rise, the Federal Reserve is expected to increase rates. Although inflation may drop from the current near 8% levels, it’s likely to persist. This signals a need to invest in low P/E stocks, particularly in banking. My portfolio includes JP Morgan, Citibank, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Morgan Stanley, which thrive in a higher interest rate environment.”

Finerman emphasizes the importance of market share during both challenging and prosperous times. “For years, my biggest investment has been in Alphabet (Google). Its market dominance, profitability, and substantial cash reserves make it an exceptional company. They have innovative projects, known as moonshots, with the potential for significant future value. Best of luck!”

Stephanie Howard, Senior Technology Sales and Market Strategy Executive

“Traditionally, I’ve focused on real estate and stock investments, but I’m now exploring ways to diversify my portfolio,” she explains. “I’m particularly interested in ‘Seed At The Table,’ an equity crowdfunding platform that supports Black and brown founders, as I want my investments to create a positive impact.”

Howard points out that Black women face significant funding challenges in entrepreneurship, despite being a leading demographic in starting new businesses. “Investing outside the stock market is a new venture for me, and equity crowdfunding allows me to invest in companies that need support while learning from seasoned investors. Seed At The Table enables me to invest purposefully, like in Row House Publishing, which champions underrepresented authors and has raised over $600k through their campaign,” she notes.

Dana Bull, Realtor and Real Estate Investor

Dana operates a successful real estate investment side business while juggling her career as a realtor and being a mother of two. At 32, she began investing at 22 through “house hacking.” She now owns over 20 units across 7 properties, specializing in small multi-family homes, such as duplexes and triplexes.

“Currently, I focus on acquiring well-located small multi-family properties that need light cosmetic renovations. I target homes in neighborhoods near downtowns, ideally within commuting distance of larger cities,” Bull explains.

Location is crucial for attracting renters who are adapting to new work environments. “Professionals want to remain close to urban centers for in-person meetings while enjoying more space outside the city. Proximity to downtown or accessible amenities remains important as many aren't ready to fully relocate to the suburbs,” she adds.

Given the high real estate prices, Bull advises buyers to seek properties with potential for value enhancement through minor renovations. “Total fixer-uppers can be challenging due to current supply chain issues, making contractor booking and material ordering complicated,” she warns.

Small multi-family properties are an excellent entry point for aspiring real estate investors. “These properties have a lower barrier to entry in terms of experience and financing options, making them accessible across various regions,” Bull states.

Alana Podrx, Founder and CEO of Eve Wealth HQ

Podrx prioritizes building a solid financial foundation through passive strategies. “I maintain a 6-month emergency fund, auto-invest in low-fee index funds via a robo-advisor, maximize tax-advantaged accounts, and manage my real estate investment,” she explains.

“I allocate around 20% of my portfolio for more active, experimental investments, where I can leverage my knowledge and establish a unique perspective. I view this as my annual ‘tuition’ for learning and taking calculated risks,” Podrx shares.

Her 2025 investment focus centers on Planet Positive Web3 infrastructure. “The emergence of Web3 presents a chance for women to influence future infrastructure development. By controlling the infrastructure, we can foster a sense of community. As an early participant in Web3, I’m committed to investing my resources into building EveWealth, an initiative that helps women navigate the web3 landscape,” she explains.

“Our community empowers members to learn and invest collaboratively in various sectors, including crypto, real estate, and impact investing. With over 100 expert contributors, we aim to inspire financial wellness for millions of women,” she adds.

Wendy Diamond, CEO and Founder of Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization

Diamond invests in social impact technologies and funds. “In 2025, I’m eager to continue supporting impactful tech companies and funds that aim to create a better future,” she states.

“I introduced Crypto and Blockchain into my foundation’s agenda back in 2016. Bitcoin represents a groundbreaking financial tool, providing access to financial empowerment for 2.5 billion unbanked individuals, largely women. Blockchain technology ensures secure, transparent transactions globally. I aim to invest in funds led by integrity-driven founders to empower women and foster significant impact,” she adds.

Diamond also champions animal welfare. “With 200 million pets in the US, we must do more to support their health. I’m committed to investments that promote healthier lives for our pets. Currently, I’m involved with a company that offers pet health solutions, as well as a microbiome-focused dog treat brand,” she shares.

Recognizing the funding disparity for women-led startups, Diamond dedicates her efforts to uplifting women entrepreneurs through her organization.
