Blood orange margaritas are a fantastic way to celebrate summer or Cinco de Mayo.

As noted in a recent recipe, blood oranges are tart, tasty, and visually stunning. While supermarkets may offer these fruits imported from afar, they often lack freshness. It's best to source them from local farmers markets. If you're in a warm climate, consider planting your own tree. For smaller spaces, a dwarf variety in a pot works well. Citrus is ready to harvest when the peel has a hint of red, resembling a rust dusting.
